"We must press on and vote as never before for a more perfect union and a future that includes all Americans."

"A more perfect union".  What can that mean other than complete assimilation of white America into the global melting pot that America has become?

And not just white Americans, but ALL racial/ethnic identities, so that eventually there will be just ONE "mixed-race American master race".

Is this really what most Americans what to become? I don't think so. I think most Americans want to preserve their racial/ethnic identities.

Forced segregation, according to state requirements (Jim Crow, Apartheid) is an evil, but being an inherently tribal animal, people will segregate naturally into groups whose members are like themselves, i.e. of the same race, ethnicity and culture, sharing the same history.

All states seek to manipulate and control human tribal nature for their own mercenary purposes, which I elaborate on in this BLOG.

The American state is bullying its citizens into an ever closer union most do not really want. But Orwellian doublethink is very much in play, with those demanding a "more perfect union" still striving to retain their OWN ethnic identity.

The extremists in this debate about national identity are in the political mainstream, they are "progressives" like the author of this piece and like the NYT itself.

Race and culture are BOTH central to any deep and meaningful sense of both personal and group, i.e. national, identity, which "progressives" clearly don't want people to have, but to identify instead with the artificial, power-political construct of the state they are citizens of.

How to explain this "progressive" attitude towards national identity?

It began as an overreaction to the evil of Nazism, which took racial and cultural identity to criminally insane extremes. We have now gone to the exact opposite,  but equally insane extreme of denying the importance of race, ethnic origins and the cultural baggage which inevitably accompanies them, altogether.

A NYT editorial, The price of Fear, in response to the Paris terror attacks last November provides the following warning:

“In the reaction and overreaction to terrorism [evil] comes the risk that society will lose its way”

This is exactly what has happened on a massive scale in the West's overreaction to the evil of Nazism and the Holocaust. See BLOG in which I elaborate.

You can't INTEGRATE millions of people of different race, culture and history into  a native/indigenous population without radically changing it. Go to any area where immigrants have already reduced native whites to an ethnic minority and you will see what I mean.

The Left's argument against objections to mass immigration is that we are ALL human beings, and so it doesn't matter when native (white) Europeans are replaced by immigrants from other continents. Only it DOES matter, if you happen to identify with to the ethnic group being replaced.

What madness is driving Europeans - and white Americans - to promote their own ethnic replacement by other races?

It is, I believe, an OVERREACTION (which the NYT itself warns against in a recent editorial, The Price of Fear: “In the reaction and overreaction to terrorism [evil] comes the risk that society will lose its way.”) to Nazism and the Holocaust, which was blamed of "racial prejudice", instead of on the Nazis' criminally insane racial ideology.

This resulted in our ruling elites embracing an ideology (the exact but equally extreme opposite of Nazi racial ideology) which demonises natural human  prejudices, in favour of one's own ethnic (but only if you belong to the white majority)  and serves as an instrument of socio-political intimidation, rewards, punishments, manipulation and control, just as medieval church ideology once served.

Editorial Board, please take note of these wise words.

Also, this European is not only concerned about Europe's "long-term political and cultural fate", but also about something which is clearly a taboo for the NYT, namely the fate of Europe as the ancestral homeland of white people.

I do not accept that it is "racist" to identify with my own white race of ethnic Europeans and to want to preserve it, anymore that it is for Native Americans or Aboriginal Australians to want the same for their indigenous races. I do not want my race reduced to an ethnic minority on their own continent by the forces of globalisation, as Native Americans have been.

I understand where this taboo comes from. It was an understandable overreaction to the Holocaust, which was blamed on "racial prejudice" against Jews, notwithstanding that European Jews are racially indistinguishable form other Europeans, which,  in my view, makes Nazi anti-Semitism an expression of racial SELF-hatred.

Post-racial multicultural ideology, which denies the importance of race, is the exact but equally extreme and insane opposite of Nazi racial ideology, and will have similarly catastrophic consequences if we persist with it, instead of facing up to the reality and importance of race.
