If America were a genuine nation, its citizens would be sharing with each other, instead of always being on the make, always seeking their own profit and advantage.

In this America is no different from any other country, of course, but why the deception and deceit of nationhood, when truthfulness is what we really need?

It is because the state legitimises itself, its ruling elites and the immense power they wield and abuse by deceitfully posing as a nation it is not.

This is a difficult, painful and frightening truth to recognise and face up to, but the truth it is, and if western civilisation is to have a future extending beyond the next few decades this is what we (especially academics) have to do (LINK).

"We would be able to take a course [great thinkers] privately, separated by time but nonetheless plugged into their brains and hearts."

What separates us from past thinkers, is not just time, but also circumstance and world view. 

We live in very exceptional times and circumstances, which are changing at an unprecedented pace. Things changed in the past, of course, but rarely at a pace that people noticed. Now the rate of change is quite dizzying, which makes many of us sick (I've just read and commented on the editorial about the millions struggling with pain and missing from the labor market (LINK). But not the author of this piece, who has clearly found a secure and satisfying niche for herself in academia. As have most academics, who, at the centre of things are not subjected to the same centrifugal forces and insecurities that affect those on the periphery.

I hope the author will excuse my critical comment, but academics are the ones most people, including our leaders, look to as authorities in understanding the world, which I see hurtling towards oblivion, while they tinker with and delight in their syllabuses.

Millions of Men Are Missing From the Job Market

"Millions of American men are struggling with pain and missing from the labor market . . "

The principal, underlying cause, I suggest, is that we are dealing with people, who struggle with being treated as "human resources" and consumers, rather than as the human beings they actually are.

We are taught that state and economy exist to serve society and people (human beings) at large, but this is simply not true.

Then why do we believe it? Because we are naturally inclined to believe what we are taught by those in authority, who are well served by the state and the existing socio-economic order.

Everyone who is anyone in society, with any power or influence (including our teachers in academia) is well served by the state and status quo, which blinds them to their fundamental flaws. The system is working well for them, so they rationalise and defend it, something their above average intelligence makes them very good at.

This presents such a huge challenge that it is tempting to give up on it and simple to make the most of the current, favourable situation while we can, before the system breaks down, as it eventually must.

Their Dark Fantasies

While Nobel Laureate and NYT columnist, Paul Krugman, is fully in touch with reality, of course.

Being a reasonable man, I suspect that Prof. Krugman would not claim to have a perfect grasp of reality, but a pretty good grasp, nevertheless.

But then, who doesn't believe themselves to have a good grasp of reality? How can we not believe this without going mad?

From an evolutionary perspective, our brains evolved a need to believe in the soundness of its sense of reality. Otherwise, it would not know how to respond to its environment, which would cause it distress. It is comforting to be sure of yourself and your view of reality, and have it confirmed by others, especially to the extent that Prof. Krugman has.

Prof. Krugman's view of reality, I believe, is deeply flawed, as is that of most, probably all, people.

My view of reality is also flawed, of course, but less flawed than most, because based on an evolutionary understanding of my species and its situation. ‘Only White People,’ Said the Little Girl

And when it's a white kid being racially discriminated against, as also happens - is that "racial hatred" as well?  

The West's liberal elites - in politics, the media and, most authoritatively, academia - have, for decades, been teaching ordinary people that race is just a "social construct", only of importance to bigots and racists. The author has clearly also swallowed these misguided teachings.  

Race is NOT a "social construct" (except when you try dividing closely related peoples from the same subcontinent into different races, as the Nazis insanely did), but REAL and important. Not in the way that racial supremacists believe it is, but because central to any deep and meaningful sense of both personal and group, i.e. genuine national, identity.  

These liberal elites want everyone to identify with the state as their nation, so that they can lay claim to their tribal loyalty, and obedience. That is why they deny and suppress the reality and importance of race.  

It also serves the age-old strategy of “divide and rule”, dividing society into a morally superior, now supposedly unprejudiced, "colour-blind" and xenophilic elite, on the one hand, and the morally inferior, naturally (evolved human nature being what it is) prejudiced, not colour-blind, but xenophobically-inclined masses, on the other, who must submit to the authority of and domination by their "moral superiors".

"Public sympathy for immigrants . .  has been curdled by terrorist attacks in Brussels, Paris and Nice."

Wrong! It's been curdled by the SCALE of immigration and demographic change. No one likes being reduced to an ethnic minority, where traditionally they have been the majority. Naturally, it makes them very unhappy and angry.

But what to do with their anger? At the moment state authority forces them to suppress it, by demonising it as racism and xenophobia, but increasingly people are realising that this is nonsense. Many of Donald Trump's white supports, I suggest, are directing their anger at those responsible for the madness of policies that will soon make them an ethnic minority in the country their forebears founded, namely America's liberal elites, embodied in the Clintons.

Wrong again! The rise of Mr. Trump is a consequence of mass poor-world immigration undermining many Americans sense of what it means to be an American. America has now gone global, a mishmash of all humanity, with white Americans on course to become just another ethnic minority, and in which Orwellian newspeak and doublethink is all that holds the country together - but for how long? "[Trump] is speaking to people who detest a Washington they think has betrayed them . .  This is Mrs. Clinton’s chance to present herself . . as a morally serious leader determined to address the country’s real problems."

This betray is REAL and the Clintons are very much a part of it.

Germans were also betrayed by their mainstream politicians, who had accepted and were implementing the unjust and humiliating Treaty of Versailles, which caused many of them to turn to the Nazis, who then betrayed them to an even greater extent.

Would Trump betray white America to an even greater extent than its current ruling elites are? No one knows. All that many whites know, or sense, even if they don't clearly see or understand it, is that they are being betrayed, reduced to an ethnic minority in the country their European forebears founded; and to add insult to injury, they are expect to "celebrate" their own ethnic decline and ultimate demise.

Why would America's white elites betray their own race, condemning it to oblivion in the melting pot of globalisation?

As usual, ideology is the root cause of this racial self-betrayal, which blinds those beholden to it. White "progressives" believe themselves to be, so, err, "progressive" in denying and despising their own racial identity (an extreme overreaction to the extraordinary evils of Nazism and the Holocaust), but they are not, although most of them mean well, I'm sure, just as most who embraced communism did.

This overreaction produced an ideology which is the exact but equally extreme and insane opposite of Nazi racial ideology, an ideology which denies the importance, even the very existence, of race altogether. Thus, white "progressives" don't see themselves as betraying their own race, because they don't believe that it exists, but make a great moral virtue of denying its existence, dismissing it as a mere "social construct".

Misguided progressive ideology and self-righteousness is driving millions into the hands of Donald Trump - not that he seems likely to win the presidency. I don't think "progressives" need worry too much on that account. They should, however, be worried about the ideology of racial self-denial and self-contempt they are beholden to, blinding them to reality, and opposition to which is bound to grow.

So long as Democrats and "progressives" remain beholden to an ideology of white racial self-denial and self-contempt, Trump will continue to find support amongst European Americans, as well as amongst more enlightened non-whites, who realise that such an ideology is self-destructive, not just for whites, but for society at large.

On most matters I agree with Democrats and liberals far more than I do with Republicans and conservatives, but not when it comes to the left's denial of and contempt for their own white race, which they dismiss as a "social construct" only of importance to "bigots" and "racists" like myself.

NYT Misses Point about Immigration

As usual, the Editorial Board is missing the main point about immigration, which is the way in which it is changing America's ethnic composition from once overwhelmingly white to ever-increasingly non-white.

I can almost hear the moderator drawing in his or her breath as they read this, because it is an issue that is only supposed to be of importance to bigots, xenophobes and racists. What does it matter what colour, i.e. race or ethnicity, Americans are?

Does it not matter that the Chinese LOOK Chinese? Or that Europeans LOOK European? According to the NYT's logic, clearly not.

I'm reminded of a demonstration I once saw of post-hypnotic suggestion, where an individual was put into a hypnotic state and told that when awoken they would not be aware of something, and they weren't, until the suggestion implanted in their brain was removed.

A form of collective post-hypnotic suggestion, it seems to me, has occurred in the West in respect to race and ethnicity. In overreaction to Nazism and the Holocaust, which was blamed on "prejudice" towards a particular ethnic group, a taboo was made of attributing any social or political importance to them.

In an editorial response to the Islamist terror attacks in Paris last November, The Price of Fear, the Editorial Board warned its readers,

“In the reaction and overreaction to terrorism [evil] comes the risk that society will lose its way.”

This, I suggest, is what happened, resulting in a form of collective post-hypnotic suggestion, blinding some, very influential people, especially in academia, to the importance, even the very existence, of race, which was elevated to a moral imperative, academics being modern heirs and counterparts of the priesthood of earlier times.

"Colour-blindness" became a measure of moral authority, which politicians quickly latched on to as a way of promoting their own authority and POWER.

Race is real and important. Not in the way that racial supremacists, like the Nazis, believe it is, but because central to any deep and meaningful sense of both personal and group identity, and thus, socially and politically.

Our Best Defense Against Terrorists

The editorial scorns the following remark by a member of the "far right" National Front party in response to the atrocity (more than 80 dead) committed in the French city of Nice by Mohamed what's his name, which pretty much  reflects my own sentiments:

“Spare us the indignation of the vultures of the main parties who let the wolves in to carry out this carnage.”

Why is the Editorial Board so supportive of these "vultures", who have promoted mass immigration of alien peoples into the West, along with the ideology of post-racial multiculturalism that goes with it?

It is, I suggest, because they embrace the same attitude and ideology, which allows them to demonstrate what they consider to be their own moral superiority in respect to their supposed lack of prejudice towards people of different race and/or culture from themselves, which they like to contrast with the prejudiced, i.e. "racist" and xenophobic masses - the kind of people that Donald Trump and the "far right" appeal to.

What the Editorial Board fails to do is recognise the applicability of its own advice to itself.

In an editorial response, The Price of Fear, to the Paris attacks last November, the Editorial Board wisely warned its readers (LINK):

“In the reaction and overreaction to terrorism [evil] comes the risk that society will lose its way.”

This is exactly what happened in response to the extraordinary evil of Nazism and the Holocaust, an overreaction which produced an ideology which is the exact but equally extreme and insane opposite of Nazi racial ideology: post-racial multiculturalism, or one-human-racism, which demonises human tribal nature, with its natural prejudices and xenophobia, and allows those doing the demonising to claim a spurious moral authority for themselves, along with the social status, and personal, professional and/or political advantages that go with it.

Man is both a "political animal" and an inherently "tribal animal",  and anyone who thinks that you can separate the two is a fool. In a multi-ethnic society, politics will always be strongly influenced by race and ethnicity. To suggest that it shouldn't be is ideological and moral supremacist nonsense.

DIVERSITY, as referred to by "progressives" like Frank Bruni, is Orwellian newspeak for a racial melting pot into which the white race, according to post-racial multicultural ideology, is to dissolve and disappear, which anyone with a healthy sense of their own racial identity will reject, unlike white "progressives" who are smitten by an ideology of white racial self-denial and self-contempt.

It's an ideology that is the exact but equally extreme and insane opposite of Nazi racial ideology, the extraordinary  evil of which it began as an overreaction to (something the NYT Editorial Board itself warned against in an editorial, The Price of Fear, following the Islamist attacks in Paris last November), before being transformed into an instrument of socio-political intimidation and control, a modern, secular replacement, effectively, for the power-political role of medieval church ideology, serving age-old strategy of “divide and rule”, dividing society into a morally superior, now supposedly unprejudiced, i.e. "colour-blind", elite and the morally inferior, naturally (human nature being what it is) prejudiced, i.e. less "colour-blind", masses, who must submit to the authority of and domination by their "moral superiors".

Mr Trump's main appeal, it seems to me, is to white Americans who are sick of their own white elites (the likes of Mr & Mrs Clinton) telling them that they must deny and despise their own race in order to avoid being demonised as "bigots", "racists" or "xenophobes".

Trump clearly has many faults, but at least he doesn't despise his own race, as his "progressive" opponents all do.

WHY do so many white Americans deny and despise their own race?

In an editorial response, The Price of Fear, to the Islamist terror attack in Paris last November, the NYT warned its readers that

“In the reaction and overreaction to terrorism [evil] comes the risk that society will lose its way.”

This is what happened, on a massive scale, in regard to Nazism and the Holocaust, which traumatised the West, especially academics, and even more especially Jews and Jewish academics.

"Corruption" is a misleading word, because it implies that a non-corrupted state has become corrupted, that the system which is supposed to serve society has failed.

The truth is that the system is doing the job it has always done of facilitating society's SELF-exploitation to the personal advantage of its ruling elites and favoured (especially wealthy and academic/formerly priestly) clients, at the expense of society at large.

When the truth is revealed, as in the present case of the Panama Papers, our political elite acts surprised and indignant, perhaps with sincerity, but if so, with little understanding of how and for whom the system works.

Why have academics (and political editors), who are paid good money as authorities on understanding the system, not recognised its true nature?

Like their medieval predecessors and counterparts, academics (and editors) are privileged clients and employees of the state, i.e. of the system, with a massive personal self-interest (subconscious more than conscious) in rationalising and defending its role, self-image (as our "nation") and ideologies (social, political, economic and ethical), on which the state bases its claim to moral and knowledgeable authority.

Current academic (and editorial) understanding of the system is on the level of Ptolemaic astronomy or Galenic medicine, because still stuck in a pre-Darwinian dark age, as a consequence of a previous generation of academics having made a taboo of viewing their own species from a Darwinian perspective, it in overreaction to the Nazis having hijacked and abused the half-baked ideas of social Darwinism.

Meaning anyone questioning the wisdom of successive western governments having allowed mass Muslim immigration into their countries, which the NYT and other "progressives" have long championed.

Is it really so difficult for progressives to question their own "progressive" values and attitudes? It seems so.

The truth is that so-called "progressive" values and attitudes are not nearly as progressive, i.e. enlightened, as most progressives believe, in which respect they are very much like the Catholic Church, i.e. so convinced of their own self-righteousness, that it doesn't occur to them to question their core beliefs.

While Democrats have pandered to minorities, especially blacks, on the back of an ideology of white racial self-denial and self-contempt.

Yes, an ideology of racial self-denial and self-contempt, if not outright self-hatred. There is no other way of describing it. It involves a lot of Orwellian doublethink, of course: race and ethnic identify matter, if you belong to a minority - especially if you are black - but not if you are white.  Whites are expected to deny and despise their own race and ethnic identity.

What is "Celebrating Diversity" other than Orwellian newspeak for white people to celebrate their own ethnic decline and ultimate demise?

Where does this self-destructive ideology come from? It began as an OVERREACTION, I suggest, to European imperialism, slavery, Jim Crow, Apartheid and, above all, Nazism and the Holocaust, which was blamed on white prejudice against Jews, notwithstanding that Jews themselves are white - more Orwellian doublethink!

What purpose does this ideology serve? It serves the age-old strategy of “divide and rule”, dividing society into a morally superior, now supposedly "colour-blind", elite and the morally inferior, naturally (human nature being what it is) less colour-blind, masses, who must submit to the authority of and domination by their "moral superiors".

What a beautiful Beatles' song that is, even if I've changed the order of the lyrics a little, but not their deep and profound meaning.

The key to revolutionary change, which we are in existential need of, not just in America, but all over the world, is indeed in our heads, i.e. in our understanding of ourselves and socio-political reality, which is currently deeply flawed, because of the taboo a previous generation of academics made of viewing their own species as biologists view every other species on the planet, namely, from an evolutionary perspective.

The reason for this taboo was an understandable, but misconceived, overreaction (especially by Jewish academics, whom the evils of Nazism and the Holocaust impacted far more than most people) to the Nazis having hijacked and abused, for their own evil purposes, the half-baked ideas of social Darwinism.

One can have the best intentions in the world, as I'm sure the Beatles did, but without a sound understanding of ourselves, evolved human nature, and the nature of the societies it has given rise and shape to, we will not be able to solve the world's problems. In defence of Xenophobia and Nativism

Of course, xenophobia can be nasty, as can nativism, but both are inherent to human nature, which is very tribal. 

Clearly, our tribal nature needs to be controlled in an acceptable and civilised fashion, but this is not what the Editorial Board is advocating. Instead they are DEMONISING it, and with it, human nature itself.

Not so long ago it was human sexuality, i.e. particular forms of it (now deemed a private matter and no business of the state) that was demonised, and before that it was our propensity (inherited from Adam and Eve) to disobey divine, i.e. priestly and state authority, which was demonised as "original sin" and, we were told by the priesthood, would lead to eternal damnation, unless we submitted to church/state authority and ideology.

Human tribalism and prejudices (perfectly natural, in favour of one's own tribe, race or ethnic group) are the new "original sin", which only submission to state ideology and authority (now firmly in the hands of "progressive academia", who are heirs of the medieval clergy) can save us from eternal damnation for, not as heathens or heretics, as in the past, but as "racists", "nativists" and "xenophobes".

Xenophobia is just one side of a single coin, on the other side of which is love of the familiar and one's own.

We should be working WITH human nature, not DEMONISING it as a source of spurious moral authority, power and personal advantage.

This editorial deals with the problem of high unemployment amongst blacks and Hispanics, compared to whites, but makes no mention of Asians, presumably because that would contradict the "liberal" narrative of "white privilege".

The real problem, however, lies in the nature of the state and society itself, which sees people not primarily as human beings, but as human resources, consumers, customers or clients/voters.

The problem is so fundamental that it is not recognised, even by the academics we look to as authorities in understanding society, the state and civilisation. The point being that for academics, as for everyone who is anyone in society, and thus has any power or influence, the system works fine the way it is. Why question it fundamentally?

However, anyone who is serious about wanting a more just, humane and, now above all, sustainable society MUST question it fundamentally.

The fact is that society has always been organised to serve the personal self-interests of its ruling elites and favoured (especially wealthy and priestly/academic) clients, at the expense of the rest of society.

Being favoured clients, if not actual employees, of the state themselves, academics have been blinded to this truth by their own self-interest in maintaining the status quo.

These are radical ideas with the potential to revolutionise the social and political sciences. I get them from viewing society from a human-evolutionary perspective, which a previous generation of academics made a taboo of doing, in overreaction to the Nazis having hijacked and abused, for their own evil purposes, the half-baked ideas of social Darwinism. "Our" water systems. "Our" children. "Our" country, "Our" history. "Our" values. "Our . . .

This "our" is a lie and deceit, and the root cause of America's intractable social and political problems, as it is of all other societies, organised by mercenary "patron states" deceitfully posing as nations, in order to legitimise themselves, their ruling elites and the immense power they wield and abuse.

Until we recognise and develop an understanding of this fundamental truth, "we" are a lost cause.

Every American has his or her OWN idea of what it means to be an American, of who "we", "us" and "our" relates to. If America's wealthiest one percent felt the urgent need to "fix our broken water systems", it would be done in a jiffy. But clearly, they don't. They have - for them - for important things to do, like maintaining their private yachts and planes.

Why does the Editorial Board not recognise this, but persist with the deceit of American nationhood?

Like the academics they look to as authorities in understanding society and the state, they are themselves well served by the state and status quo, and thus have a massive personal self-interest (subconscious more than conscious) in rationalising and defending its role, self-image (as a "nation") and ideologies (social, political, economic and ethical), on which the state bases its claim to moral and knowledgeable authority.

Mrs. Clinton’s Mixed Immigration Message

"Mrs. Clinton has shown an unfortunate tendency to oscillate between harshness and compassion on immigration questions."

It's NOT "unfortunate", but inevitable when you face up to reality, which the "progressives" on the Editorial Board seem incapable of doing. Instead, they have to show "compassion", no matter what: even when the lifeboat they are in is being swamped my masses of drowning people, they insist on dragging ever more on  board. Never mind that the lifeboat itself will eventually sink, and everyone - even those who built and operate the lifeboat - will be in danger of drowning.

OK, so America is a BIG lifeboat and it is hard to imagine that it might eventually sink, but that is exactly how many on the "right" feel about "Spaceship Earth", assuming that because of its size - and past experience - it can take everything and anything we throw at it in our pursuit of economic growth and "progress".

They have no sense for its limited resources and carrying capacity. And it's the same with "progressives" when it comes to immigration.  They think that western states (and not just America) can take in an endless stream of poor-world immigrants with no dire consequences. But they are wrong. Just as those who believe in the limitless carrying capacity of our planet are.

What is blinding "progressives" to this reality? It is, I suggest, an ideology which began as an understandable OVERREACTION to Nazism and the Holocaust, but transmuted into something else, far less benign (see my blog on The West's Overreaction to Nazism).

It is inherent to human nature to be biased in favour of one's own tribe, race or ethnic group, but the American state, i.e. its academic elite (in collaboration with their European colleagues), whose example other elites are bound to follow, has embraced an ideology which demonises such prejudice as "racist", equating it with the evils of Jim Crow, Apartheid and, of course, Nazism.

What began as an understandable overreaction* to the madness and horrors of especially Nazi racial ideology, was quickly transformed into an instrument of socio-political intimidation, rewards, punishments, manipulation and control, a secular replacement, effectively, for the power-political role of medieval church ideology, with racial prejudice taking the place of original sin.

* The Editorial Board itself warns of the dangers of such overreaction in a recent editorial, The Price of Fear: "In the reaction and overreaction to terrorism comes the risk that society will lose its way."

The state's claim to moral authority on the basis of this grotesque overreaction to Nazism has indeed caused society to lose its way - very badly indeed.

If we are to deal with our social, political, economic and environmental problems in a rational and civilised fashion, we need to understand and work WITH evolved human nature, rather than demonising and suppressing certain aspects of it for the purpose of state control (see BLOG in which I elaborate).

The West's Overreaction to Nazism

Western civilisation, especially in America, is to a large extent defined and shackled by its OVERREACTION to Nazism and the Holocaust, something which, without realising it, the NYT itself warns about in an editorial response, The Price of Fear, to the Islamic terror attacks in Paris earlier this month (LINK to article)):

“In the reaction and overreaction to terrorism [evil] comes the risk that society will lose its way.”

By far the most important example of this was the overreaction to Nazism, which has gone virtually unrecognised for decades, not least, because of its very profoundness, magnitude and all-pervasiveness, and because of the personal, professional and power-political self-interests that quickly became bound up with it.

The Nazis took the natural ethnic/racial basis of national identity and nationhood to criminally insane extremes in their efforts to exploit it for their own evil, power-political purposes. In overreaction to this we, i.e. our parents' and grandparents’, went to the opposite extreme of denying the natural ethnic basis of national identity and nationhood altogether, along with the very existence of race itself, which we are now obliged to believe, is just a “social construct”, only of importance to bigots and racists.

Only race is not a "social construct" (except when you try dividing closely related peoples from the same subcontinent into different races, as the Nazis insanely did), but real and important. Not in the way that racial supremacists, like the Nazis or supporters of Jim Crow or Apartheid, believe it is, but because central to any deep and meaningful sense of both personal and group, i.e. genuine national, identity.

The Nazis also hijacked the half-baked ideas of social Darwinism, which they abused to rationalise and justify their insane racial ideology, eugenics and euthanasia programmes, and wars of aggression, which also resulted in a massive overreaction on the part of a previous generation of academics, who made a taboo of the whole subject of applying Darwinian logic to the human situation, society and civilisation.

This was a tragedy we are still suffering under, because how else are we understand ourselves, our society, civilisation and situation if not from a human-evolutionary, i.e. Darwinian, perspective? Are we not, like other animals, a product of Darwinian evolution? Such a perspective reveals profound insights into the nature of society and the state, which academics have been unable to view objectively or dispassionately, because of their own dependency on it, and which are crying out for our urgent attention.

There will be understandable fears that to remove the taboos would once again lead to the abuse of Darwin’s ideas, which, of course, can’t be ruled out, but we can guard against it by being proactive in developing a rational and humane Darwinian ethics of our own, which is what we urgently need anyway.

Extricating ourselves from these overreactions and taboos is going to be difficult, because over more than half a century they have become deeply imbedded in the very fabric of academia, which is looked upon as a moral and knowledgeable authority, just as the church once was, whose values and attitudes are hugely influential and difficult even to challenge, let alone change.

Challenges to church authority were often condemned, not because they were considered unjustified, but because of fears of the consequences, not just for the church, but for society at large, which, it was feared could descend into anarchy; however, if those fears had been heeded by everyone the Reformation might never have happened and the Catholic Church would have kept its iron grip on western society, much as Islam has kept its grip on the Muslim world.

What the Paris Climate Meeting Must Do

The "nations" the Editorial Board makes multiple references to and clearly sees as the primary problem solvers are not genuine nations at all, but mercenary "patron states" deceitfully posing as nations, in order to legitimise themselves, their ruling elites and the immense power they wield and abuse, to their own personal advantage and that of favoured (especially wealthy and academic) clients, at the expense of society at large.

These "patron states" are institutionally incapable of doing what only genuine nations would be capable of, but which the Editorial Board vainly demands of them. We were warned about the inherent non-sustainability of consumer capitalism more than 40 years ago, but instead of slowing down in preparation for a radical change of course, world leaders, complying with the demands of their "patron states", put their foot on the gas and consumer capitalism into turbo mode.

If we are to save ourselves from the self-destructive forces which threaten our survival, we must recognise and develop an understanding their source in the perverted Darwinian nature of the state itself - and not be too slow about it. See BLOG in which elaborate.

What Will Come After Paris

"in Europe each [atrocity] intensifies the raucous xenophobia of far-right nationalists ever ready to demonize Muslim citizens . . "  

Believe me - a Native Briton who has experienced what it is like being reduced to an ethnic minority in his ancestral homeland (the suburb of London where I was born) - it is not just "far-right nationalists" who are opposed to any more immigration.

The NYT should stop demonising Native European, like myself, for not wanting to suffer the same fate that European Americans inflicted on Native Americans.

I know, there is some way to go before we are reduced to the tiny percentage of the population that Native Americans now are, but we are well on the way, nevertheless. Only, long before it becomes a reality, there will be civil war. A civil war that the NYT and other "progressives" with your absurd demands for endless immigration and globalisation will be primarily responsible for.

You are always going on about race and the need to have a conversation about it. It is time you started to listen to the concerns of your OWN race (most of you are white, I know), who do not share your ideology of white racial self-denial and self-contempt, nor the power-political purpose it serves. What the Editorial Board will, or cannot admit is that people - ALL people, of ALL races - tend to be racially prejudiced. Some more than others, of course, but prejudiced, nevertheless.

Race is NOT the "social construct" we are taught it is (except when you try dividing closely related peoples from the same subcontinent into different races, as the Nazis insanely did), but  REAL and important. Not in the way that racial supremacists believe it is, but because central to any deep and meaningful sense of both personal and group identity.

Why this determination to deny the reality and importance of race?

It began as an understandable overreaction to the racial supremacism of Jim Crow, Apartheid and, of course, Nazism, before being transformed into an equally extreme ideology of its own, which now serves as an instrument of socio-political intimidation, rewards, punishments, manipulation and control, just as medieval church ideology once did.

It is the STATE itself, which is the real social, i.e. economic and power-political, construct, deceitfully posing as our nation, in order to legitimise itself, its ruling elites and the immense power they wield and abuse, and thus seek to deny and suppress the natural ethnic foundations of genuine nationhood.

This is a difficult, painful and frightening truth to face up to, but it is the only way we can learn how to deal with this existential problem (see BLOG)
